Critical Path Services’ Dr. Julie Eble Named Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year

The core values of CPS are based on personal commitment, flexibility, and integrity. All of the aforementioned qualities are continuously employed to meet the challenges of client needs. CPS is a company of more than 30 employees. Each member of the staff brings their extensive knowledge and expertise to the company and allows it to be honed and directed by Eble, who is at the helm. The company’s central location occupies 2,300 square feet of office space in the DEXSTA building on Foulk Road in Wilmington. The CPS analytical lab occupies 1,700 square feet in the Concord Plaza also in Wilmington.

Eble received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry and then went on to obtain a master’s degree and Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from Villanova University. After a productive 15 year career with DuPont Agricultural Crop Protection, Julie’s adventurous, entrepreneurial spirit gave birth to a very successful scientific management company.

Characteristic of Julie, always striving to push herself and her staff to higher levels of commitment and excellence, she has recently expanded the capabilities of her company. In December of 2006, CPS acquired laboratory space on Silverside Road off Route 202, Wilmington. The GLP compliant laboratory will enable CPS to fill the high demand for quality quantitative analysis in the life sciences and chemical industries. The lab specializes in chromatographic quantitative analysis (LC/UV and LC/MS/MS). This instrumentation gives CPS the ability to quantitate both high and low concentrations of active ingredients in various substances, ranging from a field of crops to a single pill.

The growth and ongoing success of CPS is due largely in part to the initiative, foresight, and determination of Eble. It is Julie’s desire that CPS stay on the cutting edge of the ever changing direction of the scientific community. “It can be a roller coaster at times,” states Eble, “but I have a great group of employees and it is wonderful to be honored by the business community.”

The staff at CPS and the community at large are proud to acknowledge Dr. Julie Eble as Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year.
