Edward Silveira, B.S., has over forty years experience working in analytical
chemistry. He began his career with Shell Development at their Biological
Sciences Research Laboratory in central California. When DuPont purchased
Shell's agricultural chemical business in 1986, Ed joined DuPont and remained
with them until his retirement as Senior Research Associate in 2005. Since
retirement, Ed has continued to consult in analytical chemistry through CPS. His
specialties include structure elucidation through gas chromatography/mass
spectrometry and mass spectral interpretation. Because of the breadth of his
knowledge in a wide variety of other analytical techniques, and because of his
problem solving abilities, he is also often sought out for general questions
relating to compositional and trace analysis.
Ed holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of the Pacific. |
